Prosecutors said a video will help prove their case against a former employee of a Texas facility charged for his role in orchestrating fights among developmentally disabled residents.
Nueces County Assistant District Attorney Doug Mann told jurors, in his opening statement Tuesday, they will see videos of some fights involving ex-Corpus Christi State School employee Jesse Salazar.
Salazar, 25, was charged after being spotted along with other staff members in some of the almost 20 videos of forced bouts that police called a "fight club."
He is the first of six former employees charged to go on trial.
