Man, 32, Arrested After Carjacking, Pursuit, Crash Involving Dallas Police Car

Dallas police said they arrested a 32-year-old man after a carjacking, pursuit and multi-vehicle crash involving a police car Tuesday night.

Police said a woman was at an outdoor ice machine at about 10 p.m. when a man identified by police as Christon Connor  pointed a gun at her and demanded her vehicle.

Connor then drove away in her vehicle.

Officers spotted the stolen vehicle shortly afterward and began pursuit, according to officials.

Police said Connor ran a red light at the intersection of Scyene and Jim Miller roads and caused a crash involving four vehicles, including a Dallas Police Department squad car.

Connor ran from the scene, but police said he was apprehended by a K-9 unit and charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest.

Police said the officers involved in the crash were not injured, but four other people involved were transported to hospitals with minor injuries.
