A pair of websites has ranked Plano among the country's best cities for single people older than 50.
OurTime, a dating app and website for people over 50, and SeniorAdvice.com, a senior housing referral service, last week put the Collin County city 12th on their top 15 list — ahead of Miami and not far behind Honolulu and New York City.
The joint study based its rankings on a hodgepodge of factors, including warm weather, the amount of singles over 50 in the area, social activities, cost of living, quality and availability of health care.
