One Dead in Crash on Dallas North Tollway

One man is dead after a crash on the Dallas North Tollway late Friday night.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says just after 11:35 p.m., a black 2002 Audi was traveling south at a high rate of speed on the Dallas North Tollway near Trinity Mills.

The driver of the Audi entered a curve in the toll road when the car traveled onto the shoulder and hit a concrete barrier.

After impact, the Audio crossed three lanes, hit two light poles and split into two pieces.

The man driving died at the scene of the crash.

The roadway was closed for several hours after the crash.

DPS troopers are investigating the cause of the crash, the man has not been identified.
