Old Rivals: Bobsledders Competed in High School

Two athletes who went head-to-head in high school are now facing each other in the bobsled competition at the Winter Olympic Games.

Seun Adigun of the Nigerian team is competing against Aja Evans of Team USA.

Adigun and Evans were “high school rivals” in Chicago, Evans said in a video posted on Twitter Tuesday.[[473381973,C]]

Evans says, “For those of you that don’t know her and I were literally high school rivals like Morgan Park, MP versus…”

“Evanston,” Adigun adds.

Morgan Park High School and Evanston Township High School are both in or around Chicago.

Evans wrote the caption, “From MPHS vs. Evanston to USA vs. Nigeria.”

“We used to go at it all the time,” Evans said. “But now we’ve come full circle at the Olympic Games.”

Both have histories of competing in track.

Women's bobsled competitions begin Feb. 20.
