Officials: 2 Dead in House Fire

Firefighter knocked down by upset homeowner trying to rescue his family, according to officials.

Authorities are investigating after two people were killed in a house fire Monday.

Officials said Spring Creek firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a home in the 200 block of Paula Court near the border of Parker and Hood counties just before 9 a.m.

Shortly after the firefighters responded, authorities said they requested help for a firefighter injured restraining the homeowner who was trying to enter the house and rescue his wife and son.

The victim's identities have not yet been released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
