Northwest Independent School District officials invited the public to help them name their newest middle school.
District officials said they will break ground this year on their sixth middle school, which will feature an interior courtyard, turf fields and athletic and fine arts wings.
The new school will be built on Eagle Boulevard in Haslet, across the street from V.R. Eaton High School and Carl E. Schluter Elementary School. It's expected to open before the 2018-19 school year.
Nominations for the school's name will be accepted on the district's website through Oct. 17.
The school board will vote on the name during the Dec. 12 meeting.
