North Texas Woman Saved by Secret Service Agents

Fighting back tears, Brenda Quirolo talks about two men she had never met before they day they saved her life.

"Lucky. Very lucky. They are my guardian angels. I can't thank them enough," said Quirolo.

Because of the United States Secret Service, she is here today.

"If I hadn't been in front of them, I would not be standing here talking to you today," she added.

Quirolo was in Washington, D.C. for the first time in late April, when she had a massive heart attack.

Three Secret Service agents were there. They used a defibrillator and administered CPR.

Quirolo started breathing and was rushed to the hospital.

"Walking around the capitol, cool day like today, just seeing the sights taking the photos. The next thing I know I am waking up in a hospital," she added.

She said the officers visited her in the hospital before she was able to come home.

On Wednesday, they received national recognition, the Department of Homeland Security's Award for Valor.

"I have honored them myself, sent them notes and gifts. What do you say to him? You thank them enough," she added.
