The rain may dampen some Halloween plans this weekend, but organizers at one Fort Worth haunted house want guests to know they will be open rain or shine.
Hangman's House of Horrors is in its 27th year and its owner says the rain is coming at the worst possible time for seasonal businesses.
"Financially it takes a toll because obviously it affects our attendance, said owner Allen Sturgeon.
Hangman's supports five Tarrant County charities, so that lower revenue could have a compounding effect on the charities.
"In our 27 seasons, we've given $2 million to charity," Sturgeon said. "We benefit five wonderful charities. We restrict our funds to Tarrant County so the money stays here at home."
Sturgeon said he will try to be creative in finding additional revenue sources, which could include adding another special event.
