National Signing Day 2017 will be a big day in North Texas as thousands of high school athlete are set to sign National Letters of Intent Wednesday.

Allen ISD

Nearly 40 students sign letters of intent at the district's Athletic Activity Center, including:

• Troy Bauer, baseball, Washington
• Dylan Ditzenberger, baseball, Kansas
• Ashton Esparza, softball, Wichita State
• Haley Jackson, soccer, SMU
• Mitchell Jonke, football, Brown
• Nico Manzonelli, wrestling, U.S. Military Academy (West Point)
• Cole Maxwell, football, Baylor
• Amber Park, golf, Texas A&M
• Will Sherman, football, Colorado
• Astrid Soto, soccer, TCU
• Ronnie Taylor, baseball, Wichita State

Arlington ISD

More than 60 students sign with their schools at the district's Professional Development Center, including:

National Signing Day is always a big day in DFW because some of the best high school sports in the country are played in this area. Wednesday, the top-rated uncommitted football recruit in North Texas made his decision live on national TV. Bishop Dunne defensive back Chevin Calloway announced he’s headed to Arkansas.

• Partially-deaf cornerback Darrion "Speedy" Green announced his commitment to Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. just after 11 a.m.

Shawn Robinson, KD Nixon, Laviska Shenault and Xavier Newman made their college choices official on National Signing Day.

Nearly 30 students confirm their intent to various colleges at the Chris Dyer Gymnasium, including:

Frisco ISD

•Frisco Lone Star High School defensive lineman and outside linebacker Rodnick Phillips let the emotion pour out during the school's signing day ceremony Wednesday. The senior shed tears of joy after signing with Butte Junior College in California.

National Signing Day was an emotional day for Frisco Lone Star defensive end/linebacker Rodnick Phillips.

• Defensive tackle Damion Daniels also announced his decision live, choosing Nebraska over Colorado, Oklahoma State and other schools.
