The Dallas Cowboys missed their chance to be part of this year's Super Bowl in Tampa, but the mayors of Arlington, Fort Worth and Dallas are there trying to learn as much as possible about what it takes to host the biggest event in football.
Arlington is two years away from hosting the first Super Bowl in North Texas. The North Texas Super Bowl host committee has a booth set up there, which is being manned by representatives from several area Convention and Visitors Bureaus.
The mayors also attended last year's Super Bowl in Arizona, where they took tours and met with Super Bowl committee members from other cities.
"We are determined, when we have the Super Bowl here in Arlington, it will be the best one ever produced," Cluck said. "And in order to do that, we have to understand where the risks are, and how we run it efficiently."
