We should all be accustomed to these this time of year -- but it's another No Refusal campaign during New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
That means if you get pulled over on suspicion of drunken driving you will be given the option of providing a breath or blood sample. If you refuse, a warrant will be secured to take a blood sample to determine your blood-alcohol concentration -- the results of which will be used against you in court.
The idea is, of course, to encourage New Year's revelers who may choose to imbibe to not then get behind the wheel and drive home.
Be smart, take a cab or have a designated driver.
AAA Texas is offering free towing service to members and non-members. The Tipsy Tow program operates from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and offers free towing for up to ten miles.
The no refusal campaign ends Wednesday at 5:30 a.m. in Fort Worth and Thursday morning at 6 a.m. in Dallas.
