No Foul Play in Inmate's Death: Euless Police

Woman's cause of death under investigation

Euless police say there is no sign of foul play after an inmate died in police custody Monday evening.

According to officials, detention officers performing a routine check of inmates found 35-year-old Adria Rios unresponsive in her cell at about 11:15 p.m.

A call was made for medical assistance, but first aid attempts to revive the woman failed.

Euless police said Rios was a prisoner of the Hurst Police Department being housed in her own cell at the Euless facility after being arrested for an outstanding warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to identify.

Police said there appears to be no sign of foul play and that the woman's cause of death is being investigated.
