Newlywed Charged in Husband's Fatal Shooting

A Central Texas newlywed has been charged with killing her husband who was shot seven times after the couple apparently argued.

Sheriff's Capt. Fred Thomas said 32-year-old Nancy Khan of Round Rock has been accused of shooting her husband, 34-year-old Ali Khan, five times in the torso and twice in the head.

Authorities are trying to determine what prompted the dispute and whether anyone else was involved.

Thomas said the couple got married Dec. 14.

Williamson County jail records show that Nancy Khan was being held Wednesday on charges of murder, tampering with or fabricating evidence and possession of marijuana.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Khan. Her bond was set at $2.2 million for the Feb. 27 fatal shooting at the couple's home.
