NBC 5 Employees Volunteer To Help Local Children

On Saturday, 85 NBCUniversal employees and managers helped North Texas children learn valuable math skills as part of the Comcast Cares Day.

NBC 5 President & General Manager Tom Ehlmann, NBC 5 Vice President of Community Affairs Nada Ruddock, NBC 5 anchor/reporter Meredith Land and many other volunteers oversaw MATH Blazers, a Math Relay for the Grand Prairie Boys and Girls Club.

Volunteers helped children with their math problems and exercises, oversaw rocket launches, and helped them conquer an obstacle course.

More than 100,000 employees from Comcast and NBC 5’s parent company NBCUniversal volunteered today in the 15th annual Comcast Cares Day.

Every year Comcast employees roll up their sleeves and volunteer to help make a change in the community.

Comcast Cares Day is the national's largest corporate day of service.
