Rangers' Mike Napoli Headed To The Disabled-List

Will the Rangers start selling for 2017?

More bad news for the Texas Rangers: the team announced Tuesday that first baseman Mike Napoli has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a lower back strain - Napoli will miss series against the Mets, Nationals and likely the surging-Astros.

The club also reinstated lef-hander Dario Alvarez, who has been out since May 26 with a left elbow straing.

The 35-year-old exited Saturday's contest against the Houston Astros after four innings. Napoli has 11 home runs and 25 RBIs in 51 games with the Rangers this season. The slugger, back this year for his third stint with the club, is hitting .192 in his 51 games this season.

This is Napoli's second stint on the disabled list since 2013, he is eligible to return June 14th. The Rangers start seven-game homestand on June 16.
