Police said a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Interstate 35E in Denton Sunday night.
Denton police said a witness called and reported the crash in the 600 block of northbound I-35E at 8:32 p.m.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist deceased on the road and a Nissan Sentra facing oncoming traffic, according to police. Witnesses said the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and crashed into the Nissan.
Police said the man driving the motorcycle was ejected in the crash, striking a guardrail. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
The man driving the Nissan was not injured, according to police.
Northbound I-35E was shut down as a result of the crash.
