Interstate 30 Open After Nearly 4-Hour Closure for Motorcycle Crash

The westbound side of I-30 was closed at Ballpark Way for nearly four hours Sunday afternoon

The westbound side of Interstate 30 in Arlington was closed at Ballpark Way for nearly four hours Sunday afternoon due to a major crash, police say.

Arlington police said they believe two separate crashes are causing the closure, but that determination could change as their investigation continues.

A motorcycle struck a wall as it tried to exit the highway just after 4 p.m., according to police. Two other motorcyclists pulled over to help, but at least one was hit by a passing vehicle.

I-30 did not reopen until around 8 p.m.

Police said several people were taken to the hospital, but did not release their conditions.
