Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief is asking U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks to independently review the findings from the ongoing investigations into a raid by Fort Worth Police and TABC agents on the Rainbow Lounge.
Both the Fort Worth Police and TABC are conducting their own investigations into the incident that left one man hospitalized with a serious head injury.
Yesterday, Chief Jeff Halstead of the Fort Worth Police Department said they would no longer take part in TABC actions until the investigation into Rainbow Lounge was completed.
Mayor Moncrief encouraged the TABC to follow the same course and have their investigation reviewed by the U.S. Attorney's office as well.
"The police department's internal investigation and outside review is meant to ensure all citizens are professionally and responsibly represented by our police department," Moncrief said in statement to the press.
