A Waco teenager previously sentenced to 25 years in prison for trying to smother her infant son at a Fort Worth hospital faces new charges.
A Tarrant County jury had sentenced Shantaniqua Nykole Scott in Fort Worth on May 20. Now, McLennan County prosecutors have filed two counts each of aggravated assault and child endangerment.
McLennan County District Attorney Abel Reyna tells the Waco Tribune-Herald he wants Scott held accountable for actions in Waco similar to what happened in Fort Worth.
