Missing Arlington Man Found Dead in Alaska

Alaska authorities say search and rescue dogs have found the body of an Arlington man reported missing in Fairbanks last week.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports the body of 55-year-old Travis Tyre was located Thursday near the hotel where he had been staying in the city's west side.

Tyre had once directed "The Promise," a musical drama performed annually in Glen Rose about a conversation about God between and grandfather and his grandchildren. Organizers of the play posted their condolences on their official Facebook page.

Alaska State Troopers say they don't believe foul play was involved in his death, but the investigation is continuing.

Tyre, a resident of Arlington, was reported missing April 14.

Troopers say his body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in Anchorage for an autopsy.
