A North Texas woman believed to have been missing since Sunday has been found deceased, Allen police confirm.
Cassandria "Sandy" Kinnamon, 45, was found Thursday afternoon in her parked car by a family member, police said.
Following her disappearance, friends and family started a Facebook group hoping to rally the community into finding the missing woman. The page, Save Our Sandy, posted at about 2:15 p.m. that Kinnamon had been found deceased.
"We are heartbroken to have to share with you the news that Sandy has been found, but the outcome is not the one we all so desperately hoped for. This afternoon, Sandy's sister found Sandy deceased in her car, on the 1200 block of East Main. We thank everyone for sharing information, offering to help search, and for offering positive thoughts to her family & friends during this time. Sandy was a shining light for so many people, especially her girls, whom she cherished so dearly. We hope that the police are able to find out what happened and that we can all gain answers to this tragic outcome, for a woman so many loved so much. Again, thank you all for your assistance during this time."
