Dallas police are still looking for the cause of an overnight accident that left of Mesquite man dead.
Dallas Police say Rene Rico-Aguilar's car hit a light pole then caught fire in the 8600 block of Garland Rd. at around 1:30 a.m.
An off-duty DART officer was passing by and pulled Aguilar from the burning car and worked on him until Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived.
Aguilar later died at the hospital.
