Friends and family filled a Burleson concert venue on Wednesday to remember a youth pastor killed in a multivehicle crash.
Brian "B.J." Jennings was killed early Sunday morning while trying to help a stranded driver in Fort Worth.
His daughter, Abby, spoke at the memorial, which was held at Venue 510 in Burleson.
"This world has thrown things at me and my family that could have made us bitter, but my long talks with my dad would never let me be that way," she said.
Russell Rasor, a friend of Jennings, talked about how he thought Jennings would want the congregation to respond.
"If Brian would have survived that night and that accident, his heart would be aching for all those involved and he would be aching with a desire to reach out to those kids and show the love of Jesus Christ to the kids in that truck," he said.
Jennings; the stranded driver he was trying to help, Breanna Mitchell, 24; and two other Good Samaritans, Hollie Boyles, 42, and her daughter, Shelby Boyles, 21; were killed when a pickup truck with eight teenagers lost control in the 1500 block of Burleson Retta Road.

NBC 5 has learned that the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has launched a source investigation to determine if someone provided the teens with alcohol.
The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office is awaiting toxicology results on the driver, 17-year-old Ethan Couch. A county representative said he would, at the very least, likely be charged with failure to stop and render aid.
Fort Worth criminal defense attorney Scott Brown, who is representing Couch, told NBC 5 by phone that his client's heart goes out to all those affected by the crash. He said it is too early in the investigation to be placing any blame.
