Mansfield PD Release Surveillance Video of Burglary Suspect

Mansfield police need your help to track down a man who they say is wandering into neighborhoods late at night and stealing from people’s trucks.

Home surveillance cameras have caught the suspect on video twice since November.

He was filmed at a home along Brair Way Drive.

The video shows the suspect -- a thin, white male with dark hair – walk right up to a truck in the driveway and begin searching through the truck bed with a flashlight. He then takes various tools from it, making several trips between the truck and his dark colored SUV before he drives off.

A second video from a home along Cheyenne Trail shows the same man going after spools of wire in the back of a pickup truck that was parked on a driveway. The spools were so large, he initially had a tough time getting it out of the truck bed. Once he did, he quickly ran off.

Both incidents took place during overnight hours.

Investigators believe he may be responsible for additional burglaries across the city.

While they continue to look for him, they ask citizens not to become his next victim.

They say you should never leave anything of value unattended in a truck bed. They also recommend that truck drivers leave their vehicles in a garage overnight, if possible.

If you recognize the man in the video or have any information about these crimes, you’re asked to call Mansfield police at 817-276-4750.
