Mansfield Independent School District students will be released early to support one of their football teams playing for a state championship Friday.
Lake Ridge High School qualified for the 5A state championship football game that will be played at 8 p.m. at NRG stadium in Houston.
To give fans a chance to attend that game, the district will release schools according to the following schedule:
- Ben Barber Career Tech Academy and Frontier High School: 10:30 a.m.
- High schools: 10:45 a.m.
- Elementary Schools: 11:20 a.m.
- Intermediate schools: 11:45 a.m.
- Middle schools: noon
Buses will run shortly after dismissal times.
Pre-K and PPCD classes are canceled Friday.
