A man and woman were found dead with stab wounds Monday afternoon inside a home in the 400 block of South Church Street, Ferris police said.
The man's brother realized he was missing from work and went to the house to check on him. He peeked in the window and saw the 39-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman on a bed and called police, police said.
Police Chief Frank Mooney said in Monday's online edition of the Waxahachie Daily Light that the man had several deep cut wounds and the female had several cut wounds to her arms in addition to a slashed throat.
The names of the dead were not immediately released.
Mooney says there was no indication of forced entry and the doors were locked.
Ferris is about 20 miles south of Dallas.
