Police say a man is dead and a suspect is in custody after a shooting Monday evening at a Terrell apartment complex.
Officers were called just before 8 p.m. to The Brownstone Apartments in the 1300 block of South Adelaide Street, where they said a man was found deceased from a gunshot wound inside a 2003 maroon Lincoln four-door vehicle.
The man's identity has not been released, pending notification of next-of-kin, but police said he was a 42-year-old Cedar Hill resident.
Police said witnesses at the scene identified a suspect, and officers soon arrested 39-year-old Hubert Vaughn Thomas, of Terrell.
A second person was also located in the area, and police said he remains a person of interest in the shooting while police continue to investigate.
