Man Served With Murder Warrant in Texas Store Clerk's Death

A man already jailed in the kidnapping and assault of a College Station convenience store clerk last month has been served with a warrant for murder following the victim's death.

College Station police said Monday that a warrant adding the charge of murder had been served for 36-year-old Nathaniel Tillery.

He was already in Brazos County Jail on previous charges of kidnapping, assault and robbery. His bail is now at more than $1 million. Jail records don't list an attorney.

Garcia was found in the bed of his pickup in a suburb of Fort Worth more than 10 hours after his March 17 kidnapping from the College Station convenience store. Garcia, who was 55, died March 20.

He had worked the night shift at the store for 14 years.
