Matthew Louis Reese admitted he is guilty to having a relationship with a teenager, even though he knew he was HIV positive.
Prosecutors said when Reese was 30-years-old, he had sex with a 15-year-old girl and gave her HIV.
Reese pleaded guilty on Monday in court.
He was given a 55 year sentence and two 20 year sentences.
The prosecution wants Reese to serve those consecutively. They called witnesses to court today to testify in a punishment hearing.
The teenage victim also took the stand.
"He was saying all the right things. He was saying everything I wanted to hear," she said. "Like he was telling me how beautiful I was. Because I was a freshman, so when boys said that, I wasn't believing it. But by him being grown, I assumed it was true."
