Police said a man died after being shot during a robbery attempt in Arlington Sunday night.
Arlington police said the man was in a car with a female driver and another male passenger on Tinsley Drive when two men approached them and tried to rob them at about 10 p.m. During the attempt, the robbers shot at the front seat passenger multiple times.
The woman drove away to a hospital, but called 911 after apparently becoming lost near the intersection of Long Meadow and Melear drives, according to police.
Authorities said they transported the injured man to a hospital where he later died.
Police said the woman and other male passenger were not injured.
No arrests have been made.
