Man Injured, 2 Dogs Rescued from Haltom City House Fire

A homeowner and two dogs escaped a fire that damaged a Haltom City home Tuesday morning, according to authorities. [[322146281 ,C]]

Firefighters were called to a home on the 2600 block of Thomas Road at about 3 a.m., according to Haltom City Fire Marshal Fred Knapp.

The fire started in the attic, but authorities said they are still investigating the cause.

The homeowner was taken to a hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. There is no word on his condition.

Two dogs were also rescued from the home.
