Man Accused of Trying to Mail $60K Worth of Pot to Texas

A 23-year-old man is accused of trying to mail about $60,000 worth of marijuana from Colorado to his home in Texas.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports Johnny Wolfe, of San Angelo, Texas, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail in San Angelo on $100,000 bail.

On Sunday, Pueblo police went to a UPS office to investigate a suspicious package, which was being sent by Wolfe to his Texas home.

The parcel contained eight packages with a total of nine pounds of high-grade marijuana, with an estimated value of $58,000. There also was about $5,000 worth of marijuana products including edibles, cough syrups, transdermal patches and THC "wax."

All of the products were bought at two dispensaries in Pueblo West.
