Man Accused of Hiding Camera in Bathroom Again

A North Richland Hills man has been arrested and charged with hiding a camera inside of a women’s public restroom – again.

Fort Worth police arrested Daryl Eugene Thompson, 27, last Thursday for an incident reported in February involving a pair of glasses with a camera installed in the frame.

The incident was reported at the Residence Inn Marriott at 13400 North Freeway in Fort Worth, across Interstate 35W from Fort Worth Alliance Airport and just south of Texas Motor Speedway.

A woman spotted a pair of glasses on the floor of the women’s room, between the stalls and pointed up, according to police.

The Fort Worth police crime laboratory was able to trace the glasses back to Thompson, police told NBC 5.

At the time, Thompson was a customer service representative at the hotel, according to police. No one at the hotel would confirm his employment status as of Monday night.

Thompson is currently on probation after pleading guilty to a similar incident in Grapevine in 2011.

A woman noticed a shoe print on the seat of a toilet in the women’s room inside of an Olive Garden along Highway 121, looked up and spotted a camera hidden in a vent, according to Grapevine Police Sgt. Robert Eberling.

Thompson worked as a waiter at the Olive Garden, and the camera had recorded images of him placing it into the air vent, Eberling said.

Thompson posted bond following his arrest on March 26 and was released from custody.
