A man faces a murder charge after his wife was found shot and killed at a Dallas home late Wednesday night, police said.
Officers responded to an assist officer call about 11:45 p.m. in the 10400 block of Silverock Drive, northeast of White Rock Lake. Prior to that, officers were investigating several random gunfire calls nearby and an officer heard a gunshot, police said.
The officer found the suspect with a weapon while he was having a medical emergency, police said. The man told officers he shot someone in the house, police said.
Police found the woman covered in a sheet. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Their names have not been released.
The man was hospitalized for injuries unrelated to the shooting, police said.
No other information was available.
