There will be an elevated fire danger in North Texas on Monday and Tuesday as wind speeds increase, the humidity decreases and temperatures stay above normal.
On Monday, NBC 5 Meteorologist Remeisha Shade forecasted an elevated wildfire threat will stay north and west of the metroplex. Winds will be 10-20 miles per hour. There will be a critical fire threat in Oklahoma.
On Tuesday, the critical fire threat shifts south of the Red River as winds pick up up to 25 miles per hour. The critical fire threat could include parts of Collin, Denton, Wise, Jack counties and areas far north and west of the metroplex.
