All Lanes Reopened, DNT Crash Strands Drivers on Tollroad

All southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway are once again open after a major crash near Mockingbird Lane Friday trapped drivers for hours.

Texas SkyRanger arrived over the scene at about 2 p.m. and spotted at least two vehicles involved in an apparent crash with a box truck; the truck ended up perpendicular to the highway, blocking all three lanes of traffic.

The crash ended up snarling traffic on the DNT, trapping drivers who were unable to exit and unable to pass on the tollroad.

First responders were able to open a single lane of the tollroad at 3:50 p.m. before opening all lanes shortly after 4 p.m.
