1 Dead, 6 Others Injured in Rollover Crash

Westbound lanes reopened to traffic at about 3:30 p.m.

One person died and six others were injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Fort Worth Friday afternoon.

MedStar Ambulance told NBC 5 that five adults and two children, an 11-year-old girl and an 18-month-old girl, were riding in the westbound SUV when the driver apparently lost control and the vehicle rolled over.

22-year-old Chastity Johnson died in the crash.

Of the six injured, three were critical, two were serious but not life-threatening, and one was OK.

Some of the passengers were believed to have been ejected, MedStar said, though it's unclear at this time who was thrown from the vehicle.

The injured were taken to various hospitals in Fort Worth including John Peter Smith, Cook Children's and Harris Methodist.

All lanes of the highway, which had been closed while first responders worked the crash, have reopened.
