One of the top high school basketball players in the country is heading to college earlier than expected.
Little Elm’s RJ Hampton announced on social media he will graduate high school early and reclassify to the 2019 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-5 guard is a five-star recruit and was ranked No. 1 in Texas for the 2020 class, according to 247sports.com.
Hampton has reportedly narrowed his college choices down to Kansas, Kentucky, Texas Tech and Memphis.

Hampton averaged 32 points, 9.7 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 3.9 steals per game with Little Elm High School this past season and is a Gatorade National Player of the Year finalist. He will be eligible for the NBA Draft in 2020.
