A symbol of love will soon greet visitors at the Dallas Zoo.
A pair of life-sized elephants, woven from galvanized steel, will be installed next to the iconic 67-foot-tall giraffe at the zoo's front entrance Tuesday.
The elephants' trunks intertwine, symbolizing the greeting often shared between the zoo's real-life gentle giants.
The $262,000 sculpture, created by Connecticut-based artist Peter Busby, was selected by a panel with the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs in November.
