Lewisville Girls Report Attempted Abductions by Different Men

The Lewisville Police Department is asking for help finding two men who they say may have tried to abduct young girls.

The first incident took place Sept. 4 when an 11-year-old girl said she was followed into a parking lot by a man driving a late-model Ford F-150 pickup truck. The girl, police said, was walking home from Huffines Middle School when the man jumped out of the truck and chased her.

The girl was able to run into a local business and the man got back into his truck and drove away.  A detailed description of the man was not readily available.

The second incident occurred Sept. 8 as a 15-year-old girl got off the school bus at the Creekside Mobile Home Park. While walking home a man drove up next to her and asked if she knew a specific person. After responding no, the driver drove away.

The man returned, questioned the girl again and offered her a ride, police said. The girl ran and was able to get home safely, police said.

When she got home she told her mother what happened. Her mother then left and found a vehicle that matched the one her daughter described and she took pictures of the license plate with her mobile phone.

The man was said to be driving a Cadillac Escalade with Texas license plate FXR-3396. As in the first case, a detailed description was not readily available.

Detectives are investigating both incidents and anyone with information is asked to call the Lewisville Police Department at 972-219-3620 or the TIPS line at 972-219-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can also send anonymous tips from their phone by texting TipLPD and their message to 847411.
