A model and blogger who was severely injured when she walked into an airplane propeller in December has reached a settlement, her attorneys said Tuesday.
Attorneys for Lauren Scruggs and the insurance company for the pilot said they had resolved issues raised in a court filing by Scruggs earlier this month.
Terms of the agreement were not released.
The announcement came after a report by CourthouseNews.com earlier Tuesday that said Scruggs had rejected an offer for $200,000, the limit allowed by the insurance policies, and sued the insurer.
However, her attorneys said that Scruggs filed a request in Dallas County for an interpretation of the insurance policy by the court and had not at that time accepted or rejected the insurance company's offer.
The filing asked the court to determine if the insurance policy's definition of "passenger" and "getting out of" the plane because it "directly affects the ongoing settlement negotations" between Scruggs and the insurer, according to the court document.
In their statement Tuesday, Scruggs' attorneys said the issues raised in the declaratory judgment action had been resolved.

Scruggs lost her left hand and left eye when she walked into the propeller following an aerial tour of Christmas lights over North Texas.
The pilot, Curt Richmond, said he noticed Scruggs was heading toward the front of the plane, leaned out of his seat and "placed his right hand and arm in front of her to divert her away from the front of the airplane and the propeller."
According to the report, Richmond said he kept his arm extended until she appeared to be walking the correct direction. He then heard someone yell, 'Stop, stop,' and he shut down the engine.
