Jammies-Clad Grandma Holds Up Convenience Store

A grandma held up a convenience store at gunpoint in her jammies and house shoes early Thursday morning, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

Her loot? Cash -- and cigarettes and cigarillos.

The woman told the clerk she was robbing the store "for her grandkids," the Star-Telegram said.

The woman told the clerk at the RaceTrac at 1840 Eastchase Parkway that she needed two cartons of Newport cigarettes and two cigarillos, according to police.

When he turned back around with her tobacco products, she ordered him to open the register. The woman, brandishing a handgun pulled out of her pajama top, threatened to otherwise shoot the clerk, the Star-Telegram reported.
