References to "explosives" from an "impatient passenger" temporarily shut down an airport terminal in Houston Wednesday, police say.
The passenger was at a ticket counter at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport where officials said "an inappropriate comment ... immediately set off some protocols."
KPRC in Houston reports the man said he had explosives in his backpack.
Part of that response was the arrival of the bomb squad who then searched the man's baggage while two dozen or so people in the terminal were moved to another location.
Houston Airport System spokesman Bill Begley says no explosives were found.
After the search, the terminal resumed normal operations.
It is not clear if the passenger will face any charges.
