The Texas Department of Transportation said they will continue to close lanes along Interstate 20 near Lancaster this week to repair a damaged roadway.
Donna Huerta, with TxDOT, said that part of the roadway was closed again Monday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. so that crews could continue making repairs.
Huerta said that more repairs would be done during the same time period on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday, if necessary.
The work is needed to repair a pavement failure first noticed on the Houston School Road overpass last Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Last week, Huerta said TxDOT would not speculate on the cause of the damage and that bridge inspectors would look into the cause.
