Houston Jewelry Store Robbed

Police are seeking four suspects seen on security video using hammers to smash display cases at an upscale Houston jewelry store, stuffing valuables into bags and fleeing.

Investigators didn't immediately provide a dollar amount on the stolen items, which KTRK-TV reported Wednesday was believed to be in the millions.

Police say the less-than-a-minute robbery happened Tuesday afternoon at a de Boulle store in the River Oaks neighborhood.

Security video shows employees waiting on customers when the suspects — wearing dark clothing — dash in and start breaking glass cases. Employees are seen trying to take cover as the robbers grab pricey items before running out the door.

Police are trying to determine if a getaway vehicle was used and who might have been the driver.
