Houston police say a man has been shot to death by a cab driver after the two got into an argument over the amount of change the passenger was owed.
Police said Tuesday that the shooting early Saturday morning will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
Police say the two got into the argument over change after the cab arrived at the passenger's destination and he paid the driver. Police say when the passenger tried to assault the cab driver, the cab driver shot him.
The 41-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being held pending family notification.
The 61-year-old cab driver was taken into custody at the scene on unrelated traffic warrants. He was not injured in the incident.
