Severe storms brought winds strong enough to overturn a mobile home in Parker County Wednesday night, sending three people to the hospital.

It happened around 9 p.m. on Enchanted Lakes Circle in Azle.

"Scary, very scary. It was kind of like, even though it happened really fast, it was like slow motion," said Wendi Holden who was inside the mobile home with six of her family members. "You could sit there and look around and see people flying and appliances flying."

Parker County Emergency Services said powerful winds rolled the trailer home upside down and sent debris flying. Three people from the family were taken to the hospital for injuries.

Holden said her son's girlfriend who is pregnant was also inside, but she and her unborn baby are okay.

She said she's glad everyone is safe and alive.

"That's the best part, we all made it out with very minor injuries, all that other stuff, it can be replaced," said Holden.

Fire crews were also busy clearing storm debris from roadways in the area. The roads are now clear.

Sean Hughes, the Parker County Emergency Management coordinator said they're working with the National Weather Center to determine what caused the damage. They believe so far it was possibly straight-line winds, which were between 75 and 80 miles per hour.

"We heard all kinds of things blowing around, but we couldn't open doors or windows, there was just too much pressure," said Alicia Cleveland, a neighbor he had had minor damage. "We had no power, it was out gone and the wind just blew and blew and we're looking at our window and the wind was horizontal."

Hughes said much of the damage was north and east of Weatherford proper near Enchanted Rock Circle, Friendship Rd. and FM 920. It included downed power lines and trees.
