U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Dallas) Thursday predicted American combat forces will need to fight ISIS on the ground in Iraq and Syria to defeat them.
In an interview on Capitol Hill Sessions predicted airstrikes alone will not destroy ISIS.
“If we're in this to win then boots on the ground not only will be necessary but that will be something that will save American lives ultimately in the long run.”

The Dallas Republican also criticized President Obama for being too timid in responding to the ISIS threat.
“What I heard last night was that the president is reluctantly engaging in this fight to protect America. I believe the American people understand we must have a president and the American people committed to protecting this great nation,” said Sessions.
