Greenville Man Arrested After Hiding from Police Under Bed

A man in Greenville thought that hiding under his bed from police would work

A man in Greenville who was wanted on a parole warrant refused to get out from under his bed when officers arrived at his house, police said.

At about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Greenville police officers arrived at the United Housing Authority to arrest James Wesley Prindel, who was wanted for violating parole.

Police said that when they entered Prindel’s bedroom, he was hiding under the bed and refused to come out. Prindel pointed weapons at the officers, and police fired at Prindel in response, wounding him — and forcing him out from under his bed.

Prindel was transported to Medical City in Plano. He will be charged with aggravated assault against a peace officer, along with the original parole issue.
